Nadia Eide is a chart topping Classical Crossover Coloratura Soprano.
She catapulted to fame when she appeared on ITV as the only classical singer on The Voice UK.
Her powerful voice and stratospheric range blew the coaches away securing her spot as a finalist of Team will.i.am.
Originally from the icy north of Norway and Sweden, her voice has taken her to every continent in the world, including Antarctica. She moved to the UK at the age of 18 to study Music, Dance and Drama at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting and has since starred in leading roles in opera, musical theatre and concert shows to critical acclaim before turning her attention to the music industry. She performs her hugely successful solo concerts worldwide. Nadia’s music style elegantly blends orchestral power with cinematic flair to reimagine songs to delicately frame her soaring soprano voice.
As a proud Ambassador for Earth Trust, Nadia is passionate about raising awareness for nature and sustainability. She is keen to involve the younger generation of talent in her concert shows to, not only give them the chance to perform on professional stages, but also teach and inspire them to care for the planet. She planted over two thousand trees with the revenue from her last Christmas UK Tour Winter Lights.
Operatic roles include Violetta in La Traviata, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Frasquita in Carmen and Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Corpus Animae Opera, Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Patience in Patience and Yum Yum in The Mikado, Phyllis in Iolanthe, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Josephine in HMS Pinafore all with with Opera Anywhere, Turandot in Turandot:Reimagined at the Tête a Tête Opera Festival.
She has sung the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance numerous times for Heritage Opera, Opera Anywhere and The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company she has also played Lady Psyche in Princess Ida, Peep Bo in The Mikado, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Yeoman of the Guard and The Sorcerer all with The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company.
Within the world of musical theatre Nadia has played Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease the Musical (UK & Scandinavian Tour), Peaches/Baby Jane in Jerry Springer : The Opera (Stockwell Playhouse, London), Keeper of the Stone in new musical Duncton Wood (Union Theatre, London), Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera (The Venetian), Johanna in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Rose and Crown Theatre/Twickenham Theatre, London) Nancy in the Norwegian production of Oliver! (Sarpsborg Scene Teater, Norway), Charity Hope Valentine in Sweet Charity (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), Sandy Dumbrowski in the Norwegian production of Grease the Musical (Sarpsborg Scene Teater, Norway), Inga in Norwegian play Frihetspapiret (Open Air AOF Teater, Norway) Tess in Tess The Musical (based on Tess of the D'Ubervilles) and originated the role of The Siren for the new musical Night Flight based on the novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Concert and television appearances include Soprano Soloist in Dvorák's Mass in D, Soprano Soloist in Dvorák's Stabat Mater, Soloist on BBC One’s Pitch Battle, toured numerous times as the Opera Singer in acclaimed opera pop shows ENCORE and BRAVO for Princess Cruises, she sang the roles of Christine Daaé, Eva Peron and Cosette in World of Musicals (China Tour), toured as a vocalist in Spirit of the Dance (Israel and Netherlands), The Celtic Ladies with Jonathan Ansell (UK Tour), toured with Queen tribute band The Bohemians and a 40 piece orchestra in Spectacular Night of Queen (European Arena Tour), David Phelps in Concert (O2 Arena), and Christine in Phantom Of The Opera (Hong Kong).
She made several television appearances singing with some of Scandinavia’s biggest orchestras in her native country Norway, including Songs From Motion Pictures Concert with the Sandbakken Orchestra, Young Talents Concert (Unge Talenter) with the Norwegian Wind Ensemble (Den Norske Blåsensemble) and the National New Year Concert NRK1 (Godt Musikk År) in Olavshallen, Trondheim.
She worked with Deke Sharon, creator of the Pitch Perfect film franchise, on BBC One’s music show Pitch Battle. She performed Evanescence’s ‘Bring Me To Life’ and Queen’s hit ‘Barcelona’ with VOXX the West End Tenors, blending rock with opera, receiving praise from presenter Mel Giedroyc and global superstars Gareth Malone, Kelis and Joe Jonas.
Her first single release 'Fall On Me' shot straight to Number One in the Official iTunes Classical Charts surpassing Andrea Bocelli and Ludovico Einaudi. From which she founded the Project Rainbow Charity to donate all proceeds from this single to help her twin brother who is suffering with a severe form of Lupus.
She blew the coaches Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Anne- Marie and will.i.am on ITV's The Voice UK away with her classical rendition of Now We Are Free from Hans Zimmer's film score The Gladiator. As the only classical singer in the show, she acted as a tremendous ambassador for the classical crossover genre.
Her spine-tingling performance of Show Must Go On by Queen, which hit over two million views on YouTube, secured her place as will.i.am's finalist on the show thrusting classical crossover performed like never before on mainstream media.
Her hotly anticipated new album 'Reimagined' shot straight up to the top spot in the classical charts.
She is a keen marathon runner and nature lover. She ran the TCS London Marathon 2023 raising funds for the National Autistic Society and the BMW Berlin Marathon for Get Kids Going! a charity helping disabled children get into sports.
She continually tours her concert shows worldwide receiving roaring applause and standing ovations.
